Last month, I captured my children and I bike riding in the mountains. This month, we played at a hedge maze. I am not sure why I tackle such energetic family shoots but I am so happy to have these images. They show us at play, being ourselves. Not posed. Not forced. Just us and the pretty things that I see along the way.
As well as capturing my family on the run, I decided to use my 105mm lens. For the last month, I gave myself the challenge of only using this lens. I adore this lens bit sometimes it is slow and the focus is soft. It was a bit tricky in the small space, and running, but I so love the softness created on the trees and the background by using this lens.

Wow what an amazing location for your 30 minutes this month, Cindy! I love that hedge maze :) I have a 105mm lens as well and only use it for macro shots; I think you've convinced me to give it a spin on other things as well. Love your photos this month!!

These are truly fantastic captures. Real life, as it happens. Just nothing better than that. I love how you chose a way to challenge yourself, as well. I'm going to chew on that. So lovely, Cindy. Always, so lovely.

Cindy, those are beautiful! Love the details you captured like the mushrooms and the running feet, the beautiful bokeh behind your daughter, the way you had fun running around and still managed to get some brilliant shots. Well done! xo

These are dreamy! I love the ethereal feel, especially in a place that is almost fairytale-esque. It's always such a treat to look at your work.
