Cherish this Day: December 2013

On this day, we started with chores. It was hot so we decided to cool down at the pool and enjoyed an ice block afterwards. At home, I thought I would get back to my to do list. But you were lost. You didn’t know what to do. This new house doesn’t feel like home yet and you walked around looking for something to do. I suggested that you bake, and you asked to bake the cupcakes all by yourself, without your siblings, with only me. I realised that you were asking for my attention. My attention that has been focused on opening boxes, and organising our house so that it feels like home. You were asking to spend time with me to make this house a home. Once again, you teach me to slow down and focus on what is really important.
