Cherish this Day: March 7th

Sometimes, bad weather gives us a perfect excuse to slow down, and to stay in our pyjamas longer.  This is what happened to us last weekend. We had plans for the beach, shopping, bike riding, and a trip the garbage dump to remove some extra rubbish. But, it rained all weekend. It was that soft drizzle that never seems to end. We attempted to go outside, but soon realized it was better to embrace this weather and relax at home. We enjoyed movies, drawing, reading, cooking, and playing with long forgotten toys. The Potato Head Family  visited , and all honesty they nearly made it into the rubbish pile for the dump. They have not been played with for a long while, and I decided to give them to charity instead. But for maybe one last time, my girls played with these toys that have no bells and whistles but used their imagination to create a game on this rainy afternoon.
