2 adults. 5 kids. 13 suitcases. 4 flights. 40 hours door to door with a 7 hour delay in Auckland, NZ. Wow! It is no small feat to travel from Brazil to Australia. At the end of the long journey, we celebrated. We were home. Home sweet home!

Along the way, I decided to capture the light during our journey. Yes, I thought an extra challenge was needed.  I had no idea what I would get, but I was amazed at how the light appeared and the different forms. It reminded me of one of my favourite quotes: ”

“Light makes photography. Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. ” George Eastman.

It has been( and is)  one of my personal goals this year to “know light”.  I see light differently. I notice when it caresses  my daughter’s cheek. I see when it is reflected. I smile when it shines brightly through the window.  I  love shadows and the drama they create.

I am happy to share these images with you. Enjoy!

Yes, who knew. I did have 40 hours, so lots of time to find the right light. :-)

Suri, the processing is an action by My Four hen's photography called black and white pop. It is very dramatic. Thank you!
