Telling a story – afternoon movies

An afternoon movie is one of our favourite times together as a family. We pile up the pillows, pick our favourite snacks, and select a movie for all to watch. It is our time to relax and unwind as a family. I have wanted to capture this family time and show the connection in this quiet moment. So when my girls and I enjoyed a quiet afternoon, I saw the opportunity and took it.

My two youngest girls are 3 years apart. They have a truly unique connection and spend a lot of time together playing. They share a bedroom and love to play make believe, dolls, and dress-ups. It amazes me the time they spend together, and although they have their moments of quarreling, they mostly are the best of friends.

I also wanted to capture their relationship and their connection that is often physical as well as emotional. Of course, their dolls joined us, and are part of this series that I will treasure forever.
