I have started, stopped, then deleted and started this blog post a number of times. I cant seem to find the right words to express how I feel about this session, the images, and this beautiful family. The Alexander’s were a strong support to us when we first arrived in Albury, and with children that are similar ages, we immediately became extremely close friends. They were fully supportive when we moved to Brazil, but breaking the news to this family was so hard, resulting in tears from all of us. So when my sweet friend, asked me to take photos of her children she continued to express support for me and my business.

I always wonder where she gets her energy from, as Rachel never does anything by halves. When we started to discuss her ideas and feel for the images she wanted,  I knew the props, clothing, and the location would be just incredible. Some of the items belong to Rachel and her stunning collection. The spectacular red sofa and the chandelier belong to Gather Vintage Hire. You can visit their FB page at:https://www.facebook.com/gathervintagehire.

As we talked, I knew my role was to just to show up and capture the beauty.

We meet at Jindera, where the family has a small farm, in the late afternoon. We enjoyed the session with 3 miniature ponies, numerous goats, a dog, 9 children, and 4 adults. The session was one of the longest I have done so far, but one of the most fulfilling. It was not until after we had finished, and I paused for a moment did I stop to think “WOW…that was a dream come true”. I wish I could show all of the photos. I have limited the images to my most favourite of the favourites. Enjoy!

Take care,
